Events in Nepal
The occasions Nepal celebrates, and the sound each one needs.
Nepal's autumn runs through a run of major festivals in quick succession: Constitution Day, the Newar community's Indra Jatra, and then Dashain and Tihar, the country's two biggest celebrations, back to back. Weddings follow astrologically set seasons through the year, timed by a priest rather than a fixed calendar, and most corporate and hotel events business sits in Kathmandu.
